The laser-flame hybrid cutting machine represents a novel technology designed specifically for cutting thick plates. It utilizes a high-brightness fiber laser beam, which is transmitted to the surface of the workpiece—following transformation by a unique optical system—and combined with oxygen and other combustible gases. Through the synergistic action of the high-intensity laser beam and the combustion of the fuel gas, a vigorous exothermic reaction is triggered within the metal. This process significantly elevates the temperature of the molten metal and its oxides within the kerf, while simultaneously drastically reducing their viscosity, thereby enabling the highly efficient and high-quality cutting of thick metal plates.
